Theatre: Serious Money by Caryl Churchill
It’s 1987; Thatcher’s in power, and the City is heading toward financial meltdown.
The economy is growing out of control and the rhythm of the trading pit is changing forever, corruption is rife and making money is the only goal.
Enter a world of finance where packs of traders and brokers make the decisions that shape our lives. Watch as an appetite for risk and dodgy deals reduces nations of people to mere statistics and figures.
When a trader is found dead, morals are stretched to the limit as everything gets called into question. Time and logic begin to disintegrate into a fast paced, ferocious hunt for money.
